In November, I had the honor of working on an assignment at the historic Hotel Hirschen in Schwarzenberg, Vorarlberg. Situated in the heart of the picturesque Bregenzerwald region, this family-run hotel, with over 260 years of history, is a true gem of traditional Alpine hospitality.

My mission was to create a visual story that would capture the essence of this remarkable property. As I explored the hotel’s beautiful spaces, I was captivated by its authentic charm—the wooden interiors, hand-carved furnishings, and carefully preserved details that reflect centuries of craftsmanship. Every corner of the hotel tells a story of its rich past, blending timeless elegance with warm, inviting comfort.

Equally enchanting were the surroundings: the rolling hills of Vorarlberg, framed by snow-capped mountains and bathed in soft November light. The natural beauty of the landscape complemented the cozy atmosphere of the hotel perfectly, making it a dream setting for photography.

In addition to its architectural beauty, the Hirschen Schwarzenberg is renowned for its dedication to culture and cuisine. From the art collection that adorns the walls to the exceptional regional dishes served in its restaurant, everything about the hotel celebrates local heritage. Capturing these moments—the fine dining experience, the relaxed ambiance by the fireplace, and the serenity of the nearby countryside—was a rewarding challenge.

Working at such a storied hotel was a memorable experience. I aimed to reflect not just the visual beauty of the place, but also its spirit: a harmonious blend of history, culture, and genuine hospitality.
